Quality Engineer (Senior+)

At Groundfog, we design, build, and operate cloud-based solutions for our customers.

Our Quality Engineers are expected to find the best approach to ensure the quality of our projects. Our goal at Groundfog is to ensure sustainable and thorough quality across all projects in a tailored way. We empower each Quality Engineer to make informed decisions based on each project’s needs.

When you join Groundfog as a Senior Quality Engineer, we do not only expect a sharp eye for detail but also that you will have an impact beyond your assigned project. Although you will spend most of your time testing applications for our customers, we live the culture of knowledge sharing at Groundfog and give our colleagues a chance to present the results in the projects and on the company and conference stage.

#A TYPICAL DAY

• Developing and executing tests on cloud-native applications features
• Managing the test suites
• Working with product owners and designers to refine feature requirements
• Communicate with the customer, your team, and other colleagues through Slack and Google Meet
• Working in a highly distributed team

#YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

• Finding the best approach to ensure quality in the project
• Understanding the product risks and testing accordingly
• Coordinating other quality engineers
• Facilitating the on-time and successful completion of the development work
• Working in highly distributed and multi-national teams (🇪🇸,🇩🇪,🇧🇪,🇷🇴,🇹🇷,🥳)
• Working with agile software development methodologies

#SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• You are used to software testing types like functional, regression, smoke, accessibility, and performance
• You are experienced with API testing
• You are experienced with CI/CD
• You have experience with REST or GraphQL
• You are selfdriven, proactive, and you enjoy leading initiatives to successful outcomes
• You are not afraid to speak your mind and express your ideas in a #brutally-honest manner
• You are a problem solver. You are willing to build on your current knowledge and share it in the QA community at Groundfog. You take a long-term approach and express your vision clearly and actionably in a client-oriented manner
• You have excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); German would be a plus

#NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• Familiarity with Cypress and Browserstack
• Knowledge about Elasticsearch or AWS OpenSearch
• A skipper license for our sailing trips or a pilot license to get us there
